Jott.com Program Policies

Your use of Jott services (including but not limited to accessing the service via text, email, web page, downloads, or any other means) is subject to these program policies. If you are found to be in violation of our policies at any time, as determined by Jott in its sole discretion, we may warn you or suspend or terminate your account. As addressed in our Terms of Use, we may change our policies at any time, and it is your responsibility to keep up-to-date with and adhere to the policies posted here.

Prohibited Actions

In addition to the prohibited actions described in the Terms of Service, including those covering the Jott API, users may not:

• Send jotts, or other communications in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act or any other applicable anti-spam law
• Use the jott service to record the voice of other people without their consent
• Imitate or impersonate another person or his, her or its email address, jott account, password, software keys, phone number, IM address, or otherwise create false accounts for any purpose
• Create accounts for the purpose of robotically or anonymously accessing the service, whether for testing, production, commercial or non-commercial use. If API level access to the service is desired, please consult the developer section of the product, linked to at the bottom of every page.
• Send jotts to users who have requested not to be contacted
• Sell, exchange or distribute to a third party the account information of any person without such person's knowing and continued consent to such disclosure
• Send unsolicited jotts to significant numbers of jott accounts or email addresses or phone numbers belonging to individuals and/or entities with whom you have no preexisting relationship
• Send, upload, distribute or disseminate or offer to do the same with respect to any unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, infringing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content
• Intentionally distribute viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, corrupted files, hoaxes, or any other items of a destructive or deceptive nature
• Conduct or forward pyramid schemes and the like
• Transmit content that may be harmful to minors
• Illegally transmit another's intellectual property or other proprietary information without such owner's or licensor's permission
• Use Jott to violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others
• Use Jott to violate the Terms of Usage of another business
• Promote or encourage illegal activity
• Interfere with other Jott users' enjoyment of the Service
• Create multiple user accounts in connection with any violation of the Agreement or create user accounts by automated means or under false or fraudulent pretenses
• Sell, trade, resell or otherwise exploit for any unauthorized commercial purpose or transfer any Jott account
• Modify, adapt, translate, or reverse engineer any portion of the Jott Service
• Remove any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices contained in or on the Jott Service
• Reformat or frame any portion of the web pages that are part of the Jott Service
• Not to be used for bulk commercial texting or emailing programs
• Use Jott to convert large amount of written material into electronic form

Security

You must promptly notify Jott of any breach of security related to the Services, including but not limited to unauthorized use of your password or account or phone number. To help ensure the security of your password or account, please sign out from your account at the end of each session.
